I was delighted with the ease of use and effectiveness of the Oral-B SmartSeries 5000. It's actually a pleasure to use; I never reach for my manual toothbrush anymore. There's a learning curve but not overwhelming. Once I got the hang of it, I was amazed at how simple it was - put on the brush head, apply toothpaste, press the button and enjoy. Rinse the whole thing under water, dry and stand in its recharger. That's it. It has been very effective at removing old stains - without damaging my gums - something I found hard to do with a manual toothbrush.
